How Apex Legends groups play
See today's global Steam player count for Apex Legends
Format and teams
Three-person squads are the normal team unit. A private match needs enough people and an eligible host.
Roles
Squad composition and caller duties are group choices rather than fixed seats.
Typical pickup flow
Players assemble in squads, confirm the host's private-match access and play the agreed rounds.
For organisers
Verify private-match access and minimum lobby requirements before announcing a full event.
What a night here looks like
Use the night page to gather squads, share the start time and confirm attendance before opening the game lobby.
Region and server
Choose a datacentre suitable for the squads; mixed-region play can change the experience.
