How Valorant groups play
Format and teams
Five versus five. State whether the night is a custom scrim or a mixed pickup match.
Roles
Controllers, initiators, sentinels and duelists all affect composition; avoid promising a fixed role until teams are set.
Typical pickup flow
Players check in, form two balanced teams, agree on a map and join the organiser's custom lobby.
For organisers
Specify the region, lobby host, map choice and how substitutes enter between games.
What a night here looks like
The roster shows who is coming; the organiser confirms both teams and ready checks before opening the lobby.
Region and server
Custom lobby region and account region can constrain who can play together. Confirm compatibility before advertising.
